GRADUATING - Philip G. Zitelli Scholarship in Leadership

*Graduating *- Phil Zitelli was a member of the first graduation class of Ocean County College in June 1968. Phil served as the first OCC Student Government President from 1966-1968. In addition, he was one of the founding members of the OCC Alumni Association and served as it’s president from 1978-1983. This scholarship is established as a demonstration of his ongoing support of the college and his interest in developing leaders. The recipient of this scholarship must be a graduating student from OCC and who has been accepted to an accredited four year college or university to further their academic studies and who has demonstrated a leadership role within the OCC community or the community at large while at OCC. Applicants must have a graduating GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Supplemental Questions
  1. Please submit an essay entitled, My Role as a Servant Leader. This essay is to provide a description to a specific project or situation where the candidate demonstrated leadership behaviors in either the OCC community or community at large that leads to a betterment of that community. The essay should be 500 words or less in length.
  2. Please upload a letter of support from an individual (i.e. Professor, OCC Board Member, Mayor, Councilman) who can endorse the candidate and validate the work accomplished by the individual as described in their essay, My Role as a Servant Leader.
