GRADUATING- Charles Read Memorial Music Scholarship

This Scholarship is in memory of Charles Read, OCC’s first professor of Music, who taught at the college form 1966 until 2000. He was founder and director of the Ocean County College Community Chorus, a major ensemble which served college and the community for over forty years. Charles read was deeply respected as a consummate artist, and music educator who maintained the highest levels of excellence. His passion for music, dedication to students, and advocacy of the musical arts will resonate long into the future. Charles Read will forever be a vital par of the musical history of Ocean County.
