GRADUATING - Senator John F. Russo Scholarship
This scholarship celebrates the life and dedication of Senator John F. Russo to public service and his contributions to integrity in politics, by-partisanship, cultural diversity, civility and tolerance.
For spring and fall terms, eligible students from Ocean County High Schools should have demonstrated experience with, and/or active participation in, the civic and political process such as, but not limited to: campaigns and the election process, volunteered their time dedicated to a political party or cause, and who have expressed a clear desire to work with those with political beliefs different from their own, in the spirit of compromise, bi-partisanship and progress.
While financial need may be considered, it is not a determining factor.
For Graduating Awards, eligible students from Ocean County College who are transferring to continue their education at Kean at Ocean, should have demonstrated experience with, and/or active participation in, the civic and political process such as, but not limited to: campaigns and the election process, volunteered their time dedicated to a political party or cause, participation in student clubs and organizations while at Ocean, and who have expressed a clear desire to work with those with political beliefs different from their own, in the spirit of compromise, bi-partisanship and progress.
Preference will be given to students who are perusing a degree in Political Science, pre-law or history. While financial need may be considered, it is not a determining factor.
